Add second old monitor to new computer

We had to replace an older computer, and now have a win11 laptop. We had been using a second monitor with different stuff displayed with the old computer, (not duplicated settings). This device hooked from a hdmi onto the old type plug and the second monitor displayed, no problem. Except the video card settings did not display the entire screen and I so far have been unable to figure out the Win11 settings to have a full screen and with different displays. This is not the fault of this adapter, it works as it should. Just every new version of windoze seems to feel the need to hide settings in some obscure place. So I can recommend this adapter, it's the now hidden settings that make using it a challenge.

I've had to purchase and return several similar converters this week due to malfunctioning. This item, however, actually produces a quality VGA signal from each of the HDMI output devices I tried it on (Xbox One, SuperNesMini, and USB-C docking station dongle). I am ordering a second for my laptop bag and would definitely recommend to someone needing this type of adapter over the cables and boxy units that unfortunately just don't work.
